Shane (May 2018) - Wow. I have had problems with steering drifting to the left, on my Passat, for a while. Had the wheels tracked by other garages on numerous occasions with their Hi-Tech equipment and the problem was still there. Jordan @ Brake Station took this as a challenge and when i got the car back, the problem was gone. Drives perfectly straight and quiet now. Also a bad wheel bearing noise from the NSR was proved to be both rear tires badly out of shape, so they replacement them. The bill was cheaper than originally quoted as a result of it not being the bearing. You have yourself a new loyal customer. Great job guys....

The first time I took my car there, they showed me the damaged part, explained how it was affecting my car and how it would be repaired, and gave me the cost. They explained that had the part, but that I could get it cheaper on eBay and bring it to them, and they would fit it, to help me with costs, if time wasn't a problem. They have fitted me into their schedules at the drop of a hat in emergencies, they even sold me one of their cars when I was desperately trying to find a car to replace the one that I smashed up, for an excellent price. They look after me, as a customer and a person. They never patronise me, (as either a woman or a person who has no interest in cars or mechanics), they give me accurate and understandable information. They are honest (when I said I wanted a particular limited edition classic car they told me I didn't deserve one, given the way I look after my cars!!! True, sadly) friendly and warm. I would never go elsewhere. I absolutely love Brake Station and hope they remain in business until I'm too decrepit to drive any longer. Since they are younger than me, I have no doubt!

All the staff are friendly and respectful, to not only men, but also to a woman like myself, and this is something I have found to be an issue in the past, but not at Brake Station. The customer service is to a higher standard above anywhere else I had ever been in the past, I will never go anywhere else now I have been to Brake Station. I have had various jobs undertaken on my car over the years such as; MOT testing, services, new clutch, coolant issues, air conditioning, brake disks and pads changed, under door lighting fitted. Many of these jobs were done by Jordan Stewart who is very approachable and helpful with an excellent knowledge of vehicles, as are all the other members of staff at Brake Station. Any work carried out on your vehicle is completed to an excellent standard and the prices are more than reasonable. You will always be shown any old or broken parts that were replaced from your vehicle, with a full explanation of any job that was undertaken. You can sit in a warm, clean and welcoming seating area while you are waiting for work to be completed, or to collect your vehicle after work has been carried out. I highly recommend Brake Station to everyone and anyone as you will not be disappointed.

Adam (May 2017) - First things first, I've read the reviews below, and quite frankly the negative ones must be bogus. I took my Fiesta in for MOT, failed on a couple of points, but the parts and labour were both very reasonable (lower that other local garages) and because they did the work they didn't charge for a retest. I cannot award more respect to these guys, they are all professionals who do quality work, for very reasonable prices. I'll be booking my car in here in the future, and considering I live 60 miles away, that should speak volumes.

If you do not understand mechanics, these guys have a good way of explaining the work they have carried out. As for their MOT's, they are cheap, but I do not believe that it is to lure people in to gain extra work. When my Rover failed its test, Brake Station did the best they could to fix it and re MOT it at a competitive price. They even collected and dropped off my car for free! My Mercedes went in today for new tyres and an MOT and again, the level of service was way above expected! Nothing is too much trouble! Not only are Brake Station the best indie garage in Peterborough, the also beat the main dealers and national chains! I would recommend them without hesitation.

The fault was diagnosed quickly and the parts obtained quickly, bearing in mind the car was not with the garage until late afternoon. DJ (Apr 04, 2014) - I have been using Brake Station for various work on cars since Chris and Miguel opened the business. Their service and professionalism is top notch and I go there confident that they and their Team will do a great job of whatever work is required.

On two separate occasions now the guys at Brake Station have diagnosed, found and rectified an issue that has proved too hard to fathom for the main dealers. There are two key reasons for this:

Firstly, communication. They actually listen to the customer and seek to understand the problem (without all the usual head scratching, teeth sucking and bewildered blank looks you get at other places).

Secondly, they apply sound logic and engineering judgement to solving problems. And the reason for that is that they are experienced Professional Engineers; Proper ones, not the usual "motor engineers" that you'll be dealing with at most places you could take your car.

It always takes a while to find people that can be trusted to take care of cars in a manner in which you're completely happy and comfortable with. I have repeatedly referred other friends and colleagues to Brake Station, safe in the knowledge that the guys will look after them and I will continue to trust them to look after my cars in the future.

Andrew (Sep 14, 2013) - This garage was a breath of fresh air compared to it's competitors. From the first phone call the quote was made based on the manufacturers timescale for the work involved, they didn't just pick a price out of thin air and double it. They were happy to install parts provided by the customer, and their hourly rate was very reasonable.

Time was spent most importantly explaining other work that they found to be required but without any hard sell. Unlike other garages that I have been to including the main dealers they were honest with their findings and when I checked myself they had found issues that I was unaware of with the tyres that could have caused premature failure and an accident.

All in all I was very satisfied with my visit and will go back when my M.O.T is due.

Debi (Mar 07, 2013) - what a great set of lads - they not only give you good advise but also they are willing to get your car up on the ramps and have a look free of charge!!! this is exceptional as most garages want £20 before you even pull into the place... they looked over our car and saw the problem straight away and explained it in easy terms for us to understand,,, we were given a price for the job and to be honest it was cheaper than we paid for the same job done about 2 years ago!!! whoop whoop whoop what a brilliant place with brilliant people,,, everybody should use this place - its great AND i found it on facebook!!!!!!!!!
